• Content is regulated by your post types, whether WordPress built-in post types or custom post types. They should be somewhat independent of each other and your WordPress functions.
• Functionality is what your website can do, such as handling data, actions, and how your content is structured.
• Themes handle how your content looks to the user. Some themes may add functionalities, but be careful not to depend on your theme for core functionalities. Letting your theme handle post types for you is generally a bad idea.
