Theme

Finally, many of the things displayed are handled by the theme.

A theme is a group of files that changes how your website looks and may offer, to different degrees, further personalization options for you.

So, your theme changes how your website looks and how much of its appearance you can change by yourself.

Also, themes may have some predefined page structures for you to reuse, which are called page templates. Think of a template as a pre-made structural composition for your page, including how many columns it has if it has a footer, a sidebar menu, and so on. We will cover page templates later.
