Pages

Pages don’t have the timestamp or taxonomies as the most important feature.

Pages can have a hierarchical structure, such as a parent-child relationship, and even further, such as a grandparent-grandchild. This means that a page (child) is “nested” under another page (parent), implying that they belong to the same topic.

For example, you may have a page called “Courses” (yourdomain.com/courses) listing all the available courses on your website. Then, a child page would be “Design 101 course”, nested under yourdomain.com/courses/design-101. Did you notice that the “design” is nested in the “Courses” pages?

This helps the user a lot because they will be able to identify relationships between pages.

It would be confusing if your “About us” page is nested under the “Courses” page, for example. Users can easily identify the relationship between your pages, so it helps them navigate through your website smoothly.

Pay Attention: You can add taxonomy to your pages, but this can only be achieved via a plugin or custom code. Why would you do so? For example, you can organize your pages by locations, as large news organization would do. So when the person clicks on “Europe”, they will only see pages that are tagged or categorized as such.
