Browsing through plugins and add-ons: the WordPress’s ecosystem

We have mentioned plugins quite a few times, but never got into much detail about what they actually are.

As we mentioned, WordPress is a system in and of itself, but what makes it so special is its community: the number of individuals and companies working to develop software that can be easily added to your WordPress installation. Some of these are called plugins.

In this lesson, we will understand what plugins are and how to manage them.
